EARTH WEEK

Performance: 

Students will become artists and their creative challenge is to create a Earth Week artwork, some artists will become sculptors with recycled materials, some will become drawers, and others will become digital artists.

Enduring Understandings: 

Students will express a topic they care about through exploring and experimenting with different materials and processes.

​

Objectives: 

- Using Microsoft Teams, students will be able to discuss what they notice and what they think it could mean when looking at work of contemporary artists including Tim Noble and Sue Webster, and Rachael Amber. 

- Students will be able to envision an idea for a project that in some way relates to Earth Week through discussion of topics that are important to them. 

- Students will be able to stretch and explore through utilizing a variety of materials ranging from digital media, recycled materials, and/or traditional drawing media. 

- Students will be able to create a work of art that communicates about an environmental topic they are interested in. 

- Students will be able to reflect on their work and ask questions about the work of others.
